Lemons are a wonder fruit because they help make our bodies more alkaline. Our bodies naturally want to stay in a slightly alkaline state to be at our healthiest and avoid colds and influenza.
My mother would love these easy lemon recipes as she always told me that “disease could not thrive in an alkaline state”. She was a nurse far ahead of her time. Here’s to you Mum!!
Easy Lemon Recipes
Did you know that store bought lemonade is full of bad for you ingredients like sugar & artificial flavors? Here’s an easy way to make your own homemade lemonade in a flash with coconut water and lemons. The molecular structure of coconut water is identical to human blood plasma, which means it is immediately recognized by the body and quickly put to good use!
2 cups of coconut water ,
1 tsp Stevia (granulated) or more to taste
6 ice cubes in a blender.
Use your blender to make fresh lemonade…in only 1 minute w/ just 4 simple ingredients.
Wash 1 lemon, cut it into quarters, and remove the seeds. Toss the lemon quarters (with peel!) into blender. Add 2 cups of coconut water, 1 tsp Stevia (or more to taste) and 6 ice cubes. Blend for 1 minute, until smooth. Voila! Your delicious homemade lemonade in a flash!
CREAMY LEMON DRESSING
Making your own salad dressing from scratch is so much better for you than store bought dressing which is full of chemicals and artificial ingredients. What if you are too busy to make your own dressing from scratch?
Mix the juice of 1 -2 lemons (depending on how creamy or liquid you want your dressing) with your favorite hummus to make a creamy salad dressing that is full plant-protein & filling-fiber!
The last time I was in Palm Desert we had lemon trees growing all around us. If you wanted a lemon you just went out and picked it! We had fun experimenting with these Lemon Drops and our guests loved them too!
Lemon water is full of alkaline producing goodness. If you have some lemon water before your meal it will alkalize your entire meal. An additional plus, this water will hydrate & fill you up so you don’t eat as much. Try it after a workout for total refreshing and much needed hydration. You can also fill your water bottle up with lemon drops and sip as you work out!
