Everyone is talking about the benefits of Green Smoothies these days. They are a wonderful way of getting some of the vitamin super foods into our bodies, especially in the morning. Here are a couple of my favourite recipes taken from my upcoming Ageless Body Cookbook. I like to add additional protein from a plant based source to keep me going all morning.
Coast to Coast
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 pear
1 rib celery
1 lime ( juice of)
Cilantro
Lettuce
1 Tbsp each: Flax, Chia, Hemp Hearts
Ginger peeled & chopped
3 scoops Nutrimeal FREE(my favourite) or other plant based protein source.
Purified water, almond or coconut milk (or coconut water) to your liking
Asian Fusion
1/2 frozen banana
1 lime peeled
1 kiwi
1 rib celery
1 ½ c. cilantro
1l zucchini
1 leaf green lettuce
1 small bok choy
Ginger
1 Tbsp each; chia, flax, hemp ( or 1 TBSP Fibergy Plus)
3 scoops Nutrimeal FREE (or other plant sourced protein mix)
Water, coconut almond or coconut milk to your liking.
